Professional: 

Dr. Andrea Rosa is a distinguished psychiatric nurse practitioner with a robust educational foundation and extensive clinical experience which began in 2007. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Georgetown University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Stony Brook University.  
 
Dr. Rosa has a strong commitment to mental health care, particularly for individuals with developmental disabilities. Her experience spans various settings, from inpatient work at New York Presbyterian Hospital to outpatient work at the Institute for Family Health where she honed her skills in providing compassionate and effective care tailored to the unique needs of her patients. She is dedicated to advancing the field of psychiatric nursing through innovative practices and evidence-based strategies. 

 As a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), Dr. Rosa is recognized for her expertise in psychiatric care and her ability to develop tailored treatment plans that meet the unique needs of her patients. Previously, she served as the Director of Nursing at the Anderson Center for Autism, where she led a nursing staff in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals with autism and their families. 
 
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Rosa has made significant contributions to the field through her research, notably her thesis paper on naloxone distribution. This impactful work emphasizes her commitment to addressing critical public health issues and highlights her advocacy for harm reduction approaches in mental health care. 

Personal: 

Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Rosa is an avid reader, continually seeking knowledge and inspiration through literature. She has been happily married for 30 years and is a proud mother of four adult children, with whom she shares a close bond. She also cherishes the time spent with her children and two grandchildren, finding joy in time spent together. 
 
Dr. Rosa’s passion for her work and devotion to her family are integral to her holistic approach in both her personal and professional life.
