The safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities. We maintain a fully gated campus, and actively monitor both video and audio footage from more than 500 security cameras throughout the building and grounds to ensure the highest level of safety for our students.  

Our dedicated security team is comprised of highly trained professionals. In addition to monitoring campus access points, security staff move throughout the building and grounds in systematic rounds, while maintaining constant communication with staff and other members of the security team. Trained security team members also actively monitor cameras from the front desk and in our dedicated security room, which is staffed around the clock, ensuring constant oversight. 

 All security staff must hold a valid New York State (NYS) security guard license and pass a rigorous background check covering criminal records, driving history, and more. We also require a lifetime driving abstract for staff who transport students and ensure our vehicles and drivers meet strict safety standards. Additionally, staff receive comprehensive training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) during orientation to effectively manage and deescalate challenging situations, fostering a supportive environment for our students.
