This support is designed to keep the student on a forward path to independence by avoiding the setbacks that can happen when the student leaves the academic and therapeutic environment. Ultimately, our goal is your goal: A happy and full life, rooted in self-sufficiency, for your child.
Our boarding programs are designed for an international co-ed population of young adults ages 14 to 22 on the autism spectrum. We will consider children before age 14, depending on their developmental level.
If your child is under 14 or over 22, you may want to consider our more flexible day program.
We understand that the decision to seek a boarding school environment is a careful and measured one that involves the close advice and counsel of your family support team as well as clinical, academic and child advocacy experts. We’re here to answer your questions and address your concerns. We invite you to meet and talk with our clinical and academic teams to learn more about what life will be like for your child at Shrub Oak.
